What a night. The Sutra Nightclub was popping, the people were beautiful and ready to party, and the music was filling up the room with hard electronic beats! This is not a venue you want to miss. If you live in the Los Angeles area, the short 45 minute drive is totally worth it! Sometimes you might hit some traffic on the way there, but just grab some dinner at Yardhouse (which is walking distance from the club. Literally 2 minutes and you will miss traffic completely!) But leaving the club at 2-3am you will never hit traffic on the way back and can make it home to your nice, comfy bed very quickly.
Not only that, but Sutra always has elite EDM talent performing at their club. Hopefully you made it there for their spectacular Memorial Day Weekend 5+1 Featuring Fedde Le Grand, Chuckie, Gareth Emery, Paul Van Dyk, and the epic Armin Van Buuren. They have a spacious patio area where you can purchase a table and/or enjoy a nice smoke break. Or maybe you just need to take a breather from the hours of dancing that you just put yourself through. No matter the reason, Sutra has you got you covered.
With plenty of tables available for purchase and multiple bars in prime locations for your drinking needs, I am guaranteeing your experience at this Nightclub right off the Freeway in lovely Costa Mesa, CA.
As for the actual event, Gareth Emery killed it, per usual. I have never been to Gareth Emery show where he didn't take the entire venue on a journey through his magical and hard-hitting tunes. With his epic original tracks, Mansion, Tokyo, and Concrete Angel demanding everyone's fists in the air, to his ridiculous heart-pounding mashups created exclusively for his live sets, he will have you dancing and having fun for the entirety of his set! If you happened to be at his Memorial Day show, he even dropped his brand new track, The Saga for everyone's enjoyment. I was able to find a couple videos from that amazing night and I hope you enjoy checking them out! Just click into the post to view them.
Can't wait for my next experience at Sutra Nightclub.
Originally released on September 17th, "I'll Listen" is Armin van Buuren's follow up to the smashingly successful "Suddenly Summer". Super8 & Tab have amped up the original mix of "I'll Listen" by injecting a deep growling bassline and stripping some of the melodic elements of the original to create a deeper and more melancholic sound. You can check out a preview of the track below, or click here to buy the track on Beatport.
Super8 & Tab are embarking on their North American "ARC Tour" with fellow trance artists Tritonal on Thursday at Beta Nightclub in Denver, CO. For a full list of dates, click here.

An amazing remix by an amazing producer. Not only was Zedd's original version of Spectrum a great big-room trance track that keeps the pleasant sound of the vocals intact while adding the heavy-hitting trance sound that we expect from Armin. Expect this one to be played throughout the DJ circuits this Summer!
It's that time of the year again folks. It's time to vote for your favorite DJ in DJ Mag's yearly poll to name the most popular artist for 2012! Last year we saw David Guetta snag the top spot from perennial winner Armin Van Buuren.
Who will take the top spot this year? Will Armin retake that throne and prove to the world that he is fact the best DJ/Producer from the past year? He sure has a great chance as his A State Of Trance 550 Invasion Tour was one of the greatest single events to ever happen in recent EDM history. With several shows in Europe and America selling out almost immediately and interest already booming for his upcoming ASOT 600 show.
Or will it be Above and Beyond? With their Group Therapy Tour causing just as much hype and excitement around the globe?
Perhaps it's time for someone new to take the reign as the #1 DJ for 2012. American producer Deadmau5 always has a shot as his past year has been riddled with his outspoken chatter on his social media pages. His popularity has soared with people supporting his bashing of David Guetta for being a "just hit play" DJ and his bashing of Madonna for being a "funky grandma." Not to mention his response to Madonna's drug reference at Ultra Music Festival. On top of it all, he scored the cover on the recent Rolling Stone magazine.
Or maybe it will be Skrillex? He is the first electronic music artist to win 3 Grammys after all.
The list goes on and on with talented artists such as Tiesto, Markus Schulz, Kaskade, and the Swedish House Mafia having an opportunity to take the top spot as well. Only time will tell and the power is in your hands.
Vote Now for your top 5 favorite EDM artists. Polling Ends on August 29, 2012.
Who will the world decide is 2012's biggest Electronic Dance Music artist? I'd love to hear your comments below!
