Velvetine - The Great Divide [Anjunabeats]

After almost a year of patiently waiting since it's debut on Trance Around the World 400, Velvetine is now poised to release their track "The Great Divide" on September 3rd via Anjunabeats.  Infusing elements of electro, trance, and progressive, this track is just the beginning of what is sure to be an incredibly diverse and spectacular array of releases from newly fromed super group Velvetine.  When Myon & Shane 54 joined forces with American singer-songwriter Aruna in 2009 to form Velvetine, their goal was to develop a side project which would incorporate the clubby elements which have catapulted Myon & Shane 54 into the international spotlight as well as Aruna's eclectic and beautiful songwriting abilities.  As Aruna puts it, "We can only hope the EDM world is ready for it".

"The Great Divide" is a stellar trance track, which highlights elements of both older trance and the bold new club and electro derivative of trance, Trance 2.0.  It's got a catchy vocal line, a great bouncy beat, and a sweeping chord progression that somehow feels melancholy and empowering at the same time.  To sum it up short and sweet: this track rocks.  Hell, the track itself was even a trending topic on Twitter during ASOT 573!

Check out a preview of the track below, and except it to be released September 3rd via Anjunabeats.
