Here are this week's top tracks! For last week's edition, click here!
First on the list is an explosive new preview by dubstep and electro house artist Feed Me (AKA Spor in the neurofunk DNB circles). This new track is called 'My Little Cat Steps'. Coming from Mau5trap records, this song sounds like it's going to be pretty huge.
Next up is an Aussie remix of SHM's 'Don't Worry Child' done by rising talent Anndyk. This really diverges from the original and is worth a listen!
Lauren Lane, another DJ on the rise, has released some SICK deep house. Really liking this tech-inspired, refreshing take on the genre, check out her track 'Lazer Eyes' below!
Another one to check out this week is a preview of David Guetta and Nicky Romero's most recent collaboration, 'Oval'! Heavy French Electro House here.
Reminiscent of a mix between David Guetta's 'Metropolis' and the style of The Prodigy comes 'Dear New York' by Firebeatz & Schella. Look out for this track in upcoming festivals!
It's not often you hear an electro house remix of a reggae track, but that's what Benny Benassi has decided to do. He's taken Bob Marley's classic 'Jammin' and has turned it into a banging, upbeat hit!
Abruptly cutting off their new track at the height of its climax in this preview, Dirty South & Alesso made me laugh rather than tear up with emotion. However, I do think this track will be epically tender like usual, and I'm looking forward to its release.
Sander Van Doorn has kindly introduced 16-year-old producer Julian Jones to fame with this next electro house banger. Very catchy and big, check it out soon.
Nicky Romero has been active this week! Collaborating here with Calvin Harris, their new track 'Iron' will be released in September!
Lastly, Ken Loi brings us an upbeat remix to Topher Jones' Brohammer! Check it out below!
Thanks for listening, and be sure to check out the next edition of weekly beats!
Australian producer Anndyk features his own unique style on the fresh Swedish House Mafia anthem "Don't You Worry Child." This kid has trademarked himself as a legit artist by revamping melodies and saying to hell with the original I'm making my own! He masterfully conjures everything you hear from scratch, gotta respect that. Considering he has merely been around for 5 years, not to mention self-taught, he's already reinforced by huge names like Ladback Luke and Hardwell, surely a force to be reckoned with.
Happen to catch the Swedish House Mafia Live at the Madison Square Garden? Maybe you were just like us and merely watched it streaming live on Youtube? Either way, you got the opportunity to hear this track months before its release. But now, it has finally been finished. Hot release after their massive release of Antidote with Knife Party a couple months back, check out the Swedish House Mafia boys' latest creation, "Greyhound."
The time is here, and the time is now. The Swedish House Mafia are finito and they are going on "One Last Tour" to give themselves a final hurrah. According to their website, www.OneLastTour.com, tickets will be available starting this Friday 9/28 for the Los Angeles, Masquerade Motel event.
Check the site out for a full list of dates, times, and information!

Latest report from the Huffington Post states that:
One man died and at least seven men were stabbed during a concert in Dublin.
Detectives have not yet been able to identify the victim, who is believed to have died from a suspected drugs overdose at the Swedish House Mafia concert in the Phoenix Park in the Irish capital.
It was reported that a man in his 20s stumbled over to medical services and was later pronounced dead at Connoly Hospital Blanchardstown. On top of that, there were reports that a minimum of 7 people were stabbed at the concert at rushed over to the same local hospital for treatment. As of now, there have been no more fatality notices, and prayers go out to the families of the victims.
Why bring a weapon to a music festival? Seriously.
The SHM boys have announced their return to the Masquerade Motel on March 23rd, 2012. Their return to Miami Music Week has been widely publicized and tickets for this momentous event go Live on Jan 11th, 2012. Be sure to keep updated at www.MasqueradeMotel.com for more information as that date nears. If the event is anything like their Madison Square Garden show, this show will SELL OUT. And it will most likely sell out very quickly, so have your credit cards ready. In the meantime, check out their secret youtube video that they released a couple days ago to tide you over until then.

Last Friday was the mark of a new age for electronic music. The Swedish House Mafia were the first electronic music group to perform in the Madison Square Garden. If you have been following this event since it was announced you know that the venue sold out only 10 minutes after tickets went on sale. This tremendous feat rivals and even surpasses other entertainment events such as heavy-weight boxing matches, rock shows, orchestral performances, and top tier sporting events. With the rise of electronic music coursing through the United States of America's veins, it doesn't look like the scene will be going anywhere anytime soon. Even my parents tuned in the online broadcast and they are OLD! If the SHM's influence can penetrate even our older generation, who knows what will be on the horizon for the culture and dance music in general. All I know, is that I am very happy and fortunate to be right in the middle of it by providing relevant updates for all of you! Most links for the 2-hour stream are down, but if I happen to find one, I'll post it!
If you are interested in reading more about the event, check out a full article written by Rolling Stone magazine here. Another article by the New York Times is also available here.

Update: This is a MUST watch! - 2/7/12 10:55 PM
Some of you may have already seen this film, but I just came across it today while doing my general news rounds. I haven't gotten the chance to watch it yet, but it is on my "to watch" list for tonight. If you have been following us over the past couple of weeks, you would have gotten plenty of insight into Pierce Fulton, Tiesto, Skrillex, and Porter Robinson's travel life. Now we get to follow the Swedish House Mafia guys do their thing. But this time, we get 45 minutes of it! It is strewn across two Youtube videos, so just load one up while one is playing for seamless entertainment. The video's are from back in April, so a lot of the content will be dated, but it will well worth the time spent watching if you ask me.
